REVOLUTIONS IN TECHNIQUE

an INTEGRATIVE MEETING with:

Neal Vorus, PhD

James Ogilvie, PhD

Doris Silverman, PhD

 Patricia Gherovici, PhD

Bruce Reis, PhD

Moderator: Steve Ellman, PhD

Case presenter: Jamieson Webster, PhD

Five psychoanalysts, Five theoretical orientations, One case.

Using the transcripts from two weeks of sessions from a classical Freudian analysis conducted in the seventies, our five analyst discussants from the year-long series ‘Revolutions in Technique’ will have a chance to demonstrate the changes to technique brought by their differing theories—Bion, Klein, Lacan, Laplanche, Winnicott—and to compare and contrast their approaches with one another. Please join us for what promises to be a controversial, even revolutionary event, on psychoanalytic technique.
